Zabalburu Station

Like Autonomía Station, Zabalburu Station was designed based on suggestions from local residents, as initially it was not part of the original project for the South line. This station is a model for fitting in to a small space, built on the actual trench and with the minimum displacement of the tracks, which also allows a second connection between both sides of the trench via a footbridge that is part of it.

The project stands out for the volume of stainless steel, supported by a concrete screen, which accompanies the escalators and serves as a support for the footbridge.
