New accesses to the A-8

BILBAO Ría 2000 executed the section between the Cuesta de Olabeaga and the connection with the urban network, at the Torres Quevedo roundabout, of the new accesses to the A-8 from the centre of Bilbao.

The execution of this section included the construction of a cavern under the road which will allow the Adif Bilbao-Santurtzi line to be accommodated in the future when it is routed underground as it passes through Olabeaga.

The construction of this branch line, which crosses the area of San Mamés, was the subject of different inter-institutional agreements between the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, Bilbao City Council and BILBAO Ría 2000.
