Social Services Centre

The Social Services Centre is a project that meets the social and urban regeneration goals promoted by the URBAN programme in Barakaldo. It was opened in May 1999 to provide services to the elderly, as well as serving as a centre for cultural and leisure activities (craft workshops, archive and library, legal advice, venue for citizens’ and neighbourhood associations, etc.). The four-storey building has a surface area of 4,170 m2 and was designed by the architects Fernando Escauriaza and Rafael Olabarri.
